*   Players must be graded (or estimated by CCF) as Under 80 ECF Long Play grade (we feel that those over 80 should be comfortable in the "adult" events).  ECF Grade of 80 converts to approximately FIDE 1300.
*   Players must have been under 18 years old as at 31-08-2018
*   Players will have to be disqualified (without refund) from the event if they cannot control their noise levels and behaviour where they cause distractions in the playing hall.  These events are running alongside events for titled and other strong players - so please do not enter anyone who you feel will not be able to cope with this requirement.
*   Players are welcome to enter either or both events.
*   All players must be at least GOLD members of the ECF to play in this event; no choice for English players!  Non-English players will be asked for an entry subsidy if not Gold.
Those registering new under another federation must obtain a FIDE Identification number (FIN) from their chosen federation before playing a match.

JUNIORS LONG PLAY CONGRESS PRIZES

The prize fund will total approximately 50% of all entry monies taken
CCF will then set what we consider to be appropriate prizes for each section
to be as fair to everyone as we can.

INFORMATION RELEVANT TO ALL PRIZES

Ungraded players shall be limited to one third the value of 1st prize unless CCF has been able to obtain an accurate and confirmed estimate that we feel is reasonable to run with as if a published grade.  Ungraded players unknown to CCF cannot win grading prizes.  CCF reserve the right to look/ask for past playing history to verify estimated grade & amend this during the day if necessary - please include full details of recent tournaments.

In the event of players eligible for more than 1 prize, we will allocate prizes as we consider best appropriate.

PLEASE NOTE THAT AN ADMINISTRATION FEE IS LIKELY TO BE DEDUCTED FROM ANY PRIZE WE ARE ASKED TO POST.
GENERAL TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

VENUE:
84-90 Chipstead Valley Road, Coulsdon, Surrey. CR5 3BA

TOURNAMENT TYPE:
All sections will be 6 Round competitions.  Players may request a ½ point bye in any round, however byes in the last round can only be requested before the start of the first round so that no advantage can be gained from it - and the request cannot be withdrawn after the start of Round 1.  All games will be FIDE rated - and ECF graded, with results included in the English Chess Federation Grand Prix.  Ratings and Grades will be taken from the latest available list at the time of the event.

Pairings will be done at 9-30am on the day of the 1st round and late entrants (if accepted) added into the draw.  Default time will be 30 minutes after the advertised start of each round - and we will seek to re-pair anyone who is left without a game (we do not give default wins unless essential). All players play in all rounds (except where there is a bye - no player can get more than 1 bye in the competitions). It is NOT a knockout!
