SEASON 2022-2023     -     HAT-TRICK

Position 8th out of 8 in the Championship
SEASON 2021-2022     -     HAT-TRICK
Players Michael Collins (Capt), Arnav Kumar, Stephen Renouf, Keith Selby, Sean Whelan, Michael Woolley and Janis Zvaigzne.
Position 12th out of 12
SEASON 2018-2019     -     HAT-TRICK
Players Padmesh Ayyappan, Michael Collins (Capt), Aditya Jain, Debajit Phukan, Keith Selby, Janis Zvaigzne.
Position Championship: 5 of 6
Comments

An indifferent season started with a win but never really got going.  Having said that, other than the top 2 teams, it was a relatively tight division, but Hat-Trick didn't quite do enough to avoid a red zone finish.

SEASON 2017-2018     -     HAT-TRICK
Players Michael Collins (Capt), Olufemi George, Aditya Jain, Keith Selby, Janis Zvaigzne.
Position Championship: 4 of 6
Comments

A win and a draw at the start represented a good start, but defeats (and a board default) in each of the next 2 rounds saw them drop away from the top.  They made a good mid-season signing in Olufemi George and only dropped a half point in the remaining 3 rounds to give them a reasonale mid-table finish in their first season back up after relegation and immediate promotion.

SEASON 2016-2017     -     HAT-TRICK
Players Anantha PP Anilkumar, John Bibby, Michael Collins (Capt), Vedanth Raghavendar, Shreyas Royal, Keith Selby, Janis Zvaigzne.
Position League 1: 2 of 6
Comments It was a decent season, although they finished a way behind the champions.  Player unavailability nearly put pay to such a high placing but they managed to get through only defaulting 1 board thanks to 2 late season signings, which may yet affect the structure of the team for next season.
SEASON 2015-2016     -     HAT-TRICK
Players Anantha PP Anilkumar, Michael Collins (Capt), Keith Selby, Nischal Thatte, Janis Zvaigzne.
Position Championship: 8th of 8
Comments They were struggling all the way this season; their only win came in the penultimate match of the season when it was really already too late to survive; a small squad has probably not helped their cause.
SEASON 2014-2015     -     HAT-TRICK
Players Richard Davis, Daniel Muir, Janis Zvaigzne, Anantha PP Anilkumar, Michael Collins (Capt), Alina Imykshenova.
Position League 1  - 2nd out of 6      Cup - Lost in Cup S-F
Comments It was the head-to-head match against Chessters 1 in round 4 that decided the title; a match which Hat-Trick lost.  However as it turned out, if Hat-Trick had bettered their final round draw against bottom team The Monday Knights 1, then they would have finished ahead of Chessters 1 after all.  In the cup, they did well to reach the S-F of the main event, but were very much the outside team in the draw and lost heavily to The Gladiators 1.
SEASON 2013-2014     -     HAT-TRICK
Players Richard Davis, Jasper Moore, Janis Zvaigzne, Anantha PP Anilkumar, Michael Collins (Capt).
Position Championship  - 5th out of 6      Cup - lost in Plate Final
Comments In reverse to last year, it was the knock-out competition that brought the story for Hat-Trick this year; only defeat to Premiership Pawn Crackers 1 in the final by the odd point in 4 prevented them taking honours.  In the league, they only managed a win and a draw in dropping back into League 1 after just 1 year up.
SEASON 2012-2013     -     HAT-TRICK
Players Jasper Moore, Janis Zvaigzne, Anantha PP Anilkumar, Michael Collins (Capt), Mel Rabain.
Position League 1 - 2nd out of 6      Cup - lost in quarter-finals of Plate
Comments It was a decent league season although not much to write home about in the cup.  They were on 50% after 2 league matches and then won the next 2.  This was enough of a lead that a draw in the final round against The Long Diagonal was enough to clinch them 2nd place and promotion to the Championship.
SEASON 2011-2012     -     HAT-TRICK
Players Anantha PP Anilkumar, Michael Collins (Capt), Jasper Moore, Mel Rabain, Janis Zvaigzne.
Position Championship - 7th out of 10
Comments Despite finishing lower down the table than they would have liked they can look at their record and see that only 1 of their matches results in a scoreline of more than 1 point.  Their 2 wins and 3 of their 4 defeats came by the narrowest of margins.
SEASON 2010-2011     -     HAT-TRICK
Players Anantha PP Anilkumar, Michael Collins (Capt), Ben Ibbott, Raff Ibbott, Mizanur Rahman, Janis Zvaigzne.
Position Championship - 6th out of 8
Comments After defeat in the opening 2 rounds, they remained undefeated until the very last match.  There is no doubt that the available squad was better than last season, although they were unlucky in a result being reversed due to a grade order irregularity which would have helped them up one more place.
SEASON 2009-2010     -     HAT-TRICK
Players Atul Agarwal, Paul Braithwaite, Michael Collins (Capt),  Caroline Foster, Joel Schoburgh-Crooks, Ryan Weeden, Janis Zvaigzne.
Position Championship - 8th out of 8
Comments Availability problems cost them this season.  One player played once and then withdrew, leaving the team 3 points down.  Another also fell 1 game short.   Those points alone aside of the results that they might well have got would have put them in mid-table respectability.
SEASON 2008-2009     -     HAT-TRICK
Players Paul Braithwaite, Michael Collins (Capt),  Caroline Foster, Ryan Weeden, Janis Zvaigzne.
Position Championship - 6th out of 8
Comments They improved on last season by 1 place but are slowly building what they hope will be an effective squad.  Although most results went against them, probably 1 more player at the top end of the grade range will be enough to change them into promotion contenders.
SEASON 2007-2008     -     HAT-TRICK
Players Paul Braithwaite, Michael Collins (Capt),  Jamie Isaacs, Ryan Weeden.
Position Championship - 7th out of 8
Comments This was a difficult season for a team with only 4 players.  When the super League "merger" happened last summer, Hat-Trick lost most of their players to other teams they were already playing for in the main event and they therefore did not have the players to put out a challenge for the title.  Next season should be better after a summer in the transfer market to get the team better balanced.
SEASON 2006-2007     -     UNDER 100: HAT-TRICK
Players Michael Collins (Capt),  Fred Coombes, Gordon Morse, Keith Selby, Brian Williamson.
Position 1 out of 8
Comments By winning the first 3 rounds, they set themselves up very well.  In round 4, they held off title holders CCFMindGames and drew the final round to take the title.
SEASON 2005-2006     -     UNDER 100: HAT-TRICK
Players Michael Collins, Fred Coombes, Frank Roberts, Keith Selby, Brian Williamson.
  3 out of 10
Comments It was a good start for this team set up by Michael Collins.  They won the first 2 rounds but were then taken out by eventual champions CCFMindGames in Round 3.  One further win took them to a very respectable 3rd place.
