Leaving CCF, turn left and head to the traffic lights. Turn left into Woodcote Grove Road and follow the road to Wallington. As you arrive at Wallington High Street you will meet your first set of traffic lights since Coulsdon.

Turn left into Stanley Park Road and follow the road down to the roundabout where you turn right into Boundary Road. Follow down to the traffic lights where you go straight on into Park Lane and down to the bottom of the hill. Turn left into Carshalton High Street and drive through the town centre. As you exit the town, you will pass the Carshalton Ponds. Shortly after passing the Greyhound Pub on your left, you will come to a roundabout by a Texaco Petrol Station. Turn Right into West Street.

Follow West Street, under the bridge by Carshalton Station, straight on at the Blob roundabout and follow the road (now Wrythe Lane) past St Helier Hospital (big white building on your left) and then down to the roundabout. Be in the right hand lane as you get the roundabout. Take the 4th exit into St Helier Avenue. This is a mile long dual carriageway which you should follow to the bottom. At the roundabout, go straight on into Morden Hall Road. Go straight on at the lights and then bear right at the roundabout into Morden Road.

You will see that the road you are on goes over a bridge about half a mile ahead.  Take the left turn into the B285 Dorset Road just before that bridge - and drive the full length of the road.  At the end turn right into Kingston Road, go over the tramlink level crossing and turn immediately left into Hartfield Road.  Immediately turn left into Graham Road and take the first right into Herbert Road.  The venue (St Andrew's Church) is on the right a short distance up the road.

Until about Christmas 2019 the club will be in the main church.  After that they will be in the hall at the side.

IMPORTANT RE PARKING (info sent by Wimbledon Chess Club)
There is parking for 6 cars in front of the church hall. BUT all other parking close by is metered until 11pm (CPZ W4). If you wish to travel by car and cannot find a space in front of the church hall, then I suggest you find a space in the closest residential parking bays (CPZ W5) that are free after 18:30 and then walk the rest of the way (see green path below). These spaces are located across the tram tracks on Caroline Road and Fairlawn Road. The easiest way (see blue path below) to drive to Caroline Road and Fairlawn Road (from St. Andrew’s Church if you have failed to gain one of the 6 parking spots) is to go back up Graham Road onto the one-way system (i.e. Hartfield Road), being careful NOT to drive in the bus lane on the one-way system, and turn immediately left into Beulah Road (where Champion Timber is located), which leads into Dundonald Road and across the Tram Tracks.

Having parked your car (anywhere near the blue blob really, but in a Residential Parking Bay), you will walk back along Dundonald Road (see green path below) towards Wimbledon town centre. BUT, make sure you take the short cut to Graham Road to make the walk about 5 minutes shorter!!! Both ends of the shortcut are signposted, but are easily missed!!!
