GENERAL TOURNAMENT
INFORMATION
TOURNAMENT TYPE:
All events will be 7 round open Swiss competitions, which will be paired
using a Swiss system. Players may request a ½ point bye in
any round. However, byes in the final round must be booked before
the tournament starts and the request cannot be withdrawn after that
time. Coulsdon Chess reserves the right to insist that a player with a bye
plays in a higher section to make up numbers as a condition of receiving
their point. All games will be rapid play graded and FIDE Rated with results included in the
English Chess Federation Grand Prix. Grades will be taken from the latest
records that we hold at the venue on the day of each event.
