SCHOOL CHESS CLUBS & COACHING
In terms of coaching, CCF is linked in
with around 50 school in the south-east of England. We coach in
schools within the boundaries of , Kent, Middlesex, Surrey and Sussex but are happy to
go wherever there is interest and where we can provide a trainer.
We seek to provide an accountability framework for
junior chess coaches to function where
they are insured, answerable and CRB cleared. This level of organisation is something sadly
lacking in chess circles, despite the drive by the English Chess Federation to
try and encourage everyone in this regard.
Our Systems:
* Coaches are all CRB cleared to within the last 3 years.
* Coaches are all covered by CCF's Public Liability Insurance.
* Where possible, we provide cover when coaches are
sick.
* Our office will do 99% of any necessary admin (unless the
school wish to do it!).
* An over-the-phone /debit credit card payment system to
reduce (hopefully) on paperwork.
* We keep registers of attendance which schools can ask to see
on demand.
* Well organised and structured competitions to compliment the
training.
