CCF INTER-SCHOOLS' LEAGUE
For those who prefer the more traditional version of inter-school school chess team competitions where schools travel to and from each other's venues, try this event. The CCF league has been running for about a decade under different guises and has given important competition to teams from a wide range of schools. We take the entries and format a competition to ensure that all schools get enough chess (hopefully) but not too much either. All matches are graded with the English Chess Federation.
It is our intention to regionalise
leagues as far as possible so that teams make shorter journies during the Autumn
& Spring Terms; please note that cup ties would be open to potential wider
travel (but we would regionalise to some extend early on). There would
then be regional and/or inter-county finals (according to entries) in the early
part of the Summer Term . Regional & Overall prizes will be awarded
as vouchers to purchase chess
books and equipment from CCFMindGames.
