CONDITIONS OF ENTRY INTO ALL CCF EVENTS
Anyone entering will be assumed to have agreed to the conditions on the page linked above.
ANYONE NOT ALREADY REGISTERED WITH FIDE WILL BE REGISTERED AS "ENGLAND" UNLESS YOU COMMUNICATE OTHERWISE
- BUT NOTE THAT PLAYERS NOT REGISTERING AS ENGLAND MUST OBTAIN THEIR "F.I.N" FROM THEIR CHOSEN FEDERATION BEFORE THE EVENT

DETAILS OF OUR COMPETITION - MAXIMUM 80 PLAYERS
GRADING & RATING INFORMATION All results will be submitted to the English Chess Federation Grading System and FIDE Rapid List
ROUNDS: everyone plays 6 games PRIZES IN EACH SECTION
SECTIONS: u18 (not LJCC - see note), u12, u10, u8 Everyone Else Bronze Medal
ALLOW UNTIL 6-00pm 1st 1st Place Medal

In the Under 18 section, we will also have cash prizes.  The fund will be approximately 50% of entry money taken for that section.

TIME CONTROL: 30 minutes each per game 2nd 2nd Place Medal
APPROXIMATE TIMINGS: 10-30am - 6pm 3rd 3rd Place Medal
Those aged for year 8 & above do not need to qualify for the LJCC finals; they merely have to enter the finals, thus there is no qualifier.
ENTRY FEES FOR THOSE BOOKING ONLINE:
£18 for Silver (or higher) ECF Members
£20 for those without ECF Silver (or higher) Membership

£25 for those paying on the day if space
MAXIMUM 80 PLAYERS AT THIS VENUE

ELIGIBILITY:    Ages are taken at 31st August 2019.
The UNDER 18 section is basically players in school years 13 and below.
The UNDER 12 section is basically players in school years   7 and below.
The UNDER 10 section is basically players in school years   5 and below.
The UNDER   8 section is basically players in school years   3 and below.

Unless notified as an "early departure" at the start of the day, please note that players only receive their medals if they stay to the prize giving.  Where CCF coaches in the school that an "early departure" attends, we will happily arrange to get the medal to you (subject to when the trainer next attends our evnue).  We feel that the prize ceremony is just as important as the playing of the tournament, which is why we strongly believe that everyone should attend.

THE LONDON JUNIOR CHESS CHAMPIONSHIPS (LJCC)

This is one of the oldest junior tournaments in the country and one that a lot of junior players aspire to play in.  Some players travel to loads of different qualification events to get in and do battle with some of the best junior talent around.  The finals this year will be played in December.  Please keep watch on the LJCC web site for full information:

EVENTS ABOVE THE UNDER 12 AGE GROUP:
You do not have to qualify.  Please take a brochure and apply if you wish to play.

QUALIFICATION FOR UNDER 12 & UNDER 10 FINAL EVENTS:
MAJOR FINAL:     Players in our Under 12 and Under 10 events need to score 4½.
MINOR FINAL:      Players in our Under 12 and Under 10 events need to score 3½.  

QUALIFICATION FOR UNDER 8 FINAL:  
Players need to score 4 or more out of 6 to make it through to the final.

HOW TO ENTER THE FINAL
Anyone qualifying will receive a booklet, qualification slip and certificate at the Prize Giving.  You will need the application form in the brochure together with the qualification slip we issue to be accepted if your section requires you to qualify through an event such as this.  Please do not expect us to forward the forms to you.
