Anyone entering will be assumed to have agreed to the conditions on the page linked above.

DETAILS OF OUR COMPETITION
ROUNDS: everyone plays 6 games PRIZES IN EACH SECTION
TIME CONTROL: 30 minutes each per game 1st 1st Place Medal
SECTIONS: u18, u12, u10, u8 2nd 2nd Place Medal
START TIME: 10-30am 3rd 3rd Place Medal
ALLOW UNTIL 6-00pm Everyone Else Bronze Medal

£15 in advance
or £20 on the day

You can enter by either called CCF on 020 8645 0302 and paying by card over the phone (no extra charge - and we shred your card details immediately after processing), or you can send a cheque with full personal (name, school & DOB) plus contact information that to CCF (84-90 Chipstead Valley Road, Coulsdon, Surrey. CR5 3BA) with a cheque (payable to CCF).
ELIGIBILITY:    Ages are taken at 31st August 2011.
The UNDER 18 section is basically players in school years 13 and below.
The UNDER 12 section is basically players in school years   7 and below.
The UNDER 10 section is basically players in school years   5 and below.
The UNDER   8 section is basically players in school years   3 and below.

Please note that players only receive their medals if they stay to the prize giving.  The only exceptions are those who "book" an early departure at the start of the day.  We are not, with apologies, interested in assisting those who can't be bothered to stay to the prize giving, as we feel that the prize ceremony is just as important as the playing of the tournament.

THE LONDON JUNIOR CHESS CHAMPIONSHIPS (LJCC)
 This is one of the oldest junior tournaments in the country and one that a lot of junior players aspire to play in.  Some players travel to loads of different qualification events to get in and do battle with some of the best junior talent around.  The finals this year will be played on the dates listed below (check the brochure to see when each age group plays):

*     Saturday 17 December 2011 & Sunday 18 December 2011 - u10 & u14 Finals
*     Wednesday 28 December 2011 to Friday 30 December 2011 - u8 & u12 + u16 & u18/21

QUALIFICATION FOR EVENTS ABOVE UNDER 12:
This is not by qualification.  Please take a brochure and apply if you wish to play.

QUALIFICATION FOR UNDER 12 & UNDER 10 FINAL EVENTS:
MAJOR FINAL:     Players in our Under 12 and Under 10 events need to score 4½.
MINOR FINAL:      Players in our Under 12 and Under 10 events need to score 3½.  

QUALIFICATION FOR UNDER 8 FINAL:  
Players need to score 4 or more out of 6 to make it through to the final. 

HOW TO ENTER THE FINAL
Anyone qualifying will receive a booklet, qualification slip and certificate at the Prize Giving.  You will need the application form in the brochure together with the qualification slip we issue to be accepted if your section requires you to qualify through an event such as this.
