INDIVIDUAL WINTER BLITZ CHAMPIONSHIPS 2007-8

The planned structure for this coming season is:

FINAL TABLES: SEASON 2006-7

This event is CCF's Winter season (September - May) individual blitz  club championship.  Last season, we had a total of 2 divisions. 

Players from any other clubs are welcome and we will do our best to facilitate the fact that they will be playing matches for other clubs.....even if it is against CCF!  Anyone entering, whether part of CCF, should in principle be looking to commit to the Speed Chess dates and to ensure that matches finish by the deadline, which will be Monday 12 May 2008. 

Players apply to enter by 1st September each year and are then placed into divisions of up to 10 players.  All players are expected to turn up on every Speed Chess evening or notify CCF accordingly.  This is important as the balance of matches that cannot be played increased the more you miss.  We can normally accommodate players being missing for 1 of the 5 evenings, but we start to come under real pressure once players miss 2 or more.
