This area is for Pegasus members to get their own thoughts, pet systems, or ideas on to the Internet. Please talk to Graham Wells if you have any ideas on what you want here. For example, the first item is a write-up on a defence to 1NT doubled submitted by Bill Macmillan. If your partner opens 1NT and it is doubled, the weaker you are, the more reason for bidding. If you have a poor hand do not just pass, lay back, and think of England. This must give you a bad score. Do something positive and they may well bid again taking you out of a doubled contract. This is followed by a new item from Bill, tactics at teams events, and then, the extremely useful 5-card Stayman convention. The final two are Crowhurst, which allows you to rebid 1NT on 12-16 points and lets partner find out exactly what you have, and then the Losing Trick Count method of hand evaluation.
Bill's latest offering is in response to a request for an outline of the Blue Club system as played at Pegasus, just for members to have an idea of the opposition's bidding system.
